Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age, and adults especially appreciate the benefits of a beautiful smile. One of every five patients in orthodontic treatment is over 21.

Many adults choose from traditional braces, clear brackets, or may be candidates for lingual braces (placed behind their teeth) or Invisalign, which are clear, removable appliances.

Because their jaws are not growing anymore, adults with severe conditions may require additional treatment outside our office. For example, severe overbites or underbites may require surgery. Those who have some breakdown or loss of their teeth and bone that supports the teeth may require periodontal treatment before, during and/or after orthodontic treatment.
